Lieutenant-Colonel Nigel Collett
Managing Director

Born in England and educated at St Peter's College Oxford, a British Army Officer from 1974 to 1994, when he retired after commanding 6th Gurkha Rifles to found the Gurkha International Group.

He is a member of the Asia-Africa Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society and founding member and Adviser of the Hong Kong Branch of the 6th (Queen Elizabeth’s Own) Gurkha Rifles Association. He Chairman of the Hong Kong Bodyguard Association and Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Branch of the British Legion. He is the author of:

  • A Grammar, Phrase Book and Vocabulary of Baluchi, self-published for the Omani forces in 1984, with a second edition in 1986.
  • With Major Lyangsong Lepchha 2GR and Captain Harkaman Gurung 2GR, A Nepali-English-Nepali Dictionary, self-published in 1994 for the British Army, the Gurkha Contingent of the Singapore Police and the Gurkha Reserve Unit, Brunei.
  • The Butcher of Amritsar, published by Hambledon & London in England in April 2005, a biography of Brigadier Dyer, perpetrator of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre at Amritsar in the Punjab in 1919
Mr Hem Chandra Thapa
Director, Operations and Sales

After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Pune, he joined Gurkha International (Hong Kong) Ltd in 1997. He was promoted to Executive, Marketing and Sales in 2004 and to Assistant Manager, Marketing and Sales in 2005. An active sports enthusiast, he holds a green belt in Tae Kwon Do. He was promoted to Manager, Marketing and Sales in 2007 and is the senior Manager in the Group.

Mr Lok Parsad Limbu
Director, Administration and Accounts

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Tribhuwan University, Nepal, he taught briefly in a secondary school and subsequently worked as a Supervisor in Gorakhkali Rubber Udyog. He joined Gurkha International (Hong Kong) Limited in February 2000 and was appointed to the position of Executive, Administration and Accounts in 2006. He was promoted to Assistant Manager, Administration and Accounts in 2007 and Manager in 2008. He is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Hukpa Chongbang Welfare Committee and is also an active member of the Limbu community in Hong Kong.
